Photoshoot 1: Raindrops

When I was about to walk through my front door something out of the corner of my eye stopped me in my tracks. I was drawn to the beauty of the raindrops on the flowers. I immediately ran inside and grabbed my camera. Here are a few images that I have selected.

The reason why I chose these images out of about 40-50 is because first of all I liked the composition. As I was looking through the album I discovered that the light reflects each water droplet even though some were hidden in the shadows of the bush. Furthermore there is a contrast between the colors and the dark and light. I am intrigued by the texture and contrast between the subject matter and the background. There's always a reason why you photograph a particular thing and why you chose a certain photo over another. I believe the reason these stood out to me is because I'm intrigued by the contrast between the light and dark, contrast between colors and basically contrast. Something that's different and stands out.
